Agreements Regarding Nagorno-Karabakh Are Being Respected: Vladimir Putin
Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated that the agreements for ceasing hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh are being respected, and the situation there is stabilizing. As reported by Armenpress, referencing RIA Novosti, the Russian president made this remark during the BRICS leaders' summit.
Speaking about global and regional security, the Russian president recalled that the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh escalated in September. He said, 'The Russian side has made the most active efforts to help stop military operations between the two friendly countries and convince them to come to compromise decisions. As a result of our mediation efforts, an agreement was reached on November 9 for a complete ceasefire and the deployment of Russian peacekeeping forces in Nagorno-Karabakh.'
He reminded that all of this is documented in the trilateral statement signed by the leaders of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan.
