Citizens Seek Assistance on Various Issues from Housing to Food and Warm Clothing: Mikayel Virabyan
Since October 25 of this year, the operational headquarters of the Artsakh government has been functioning in Armenia. The headquarters includes several ministers and two advisors to the President of Artsakh. This was stated by Mikayel Virabyan, the coordinator of the operational headquarters of the Artsakh government in Armenia, during a press conference today, November 13.
“The main tasks of the headquarters are the coordination of social-economic issues for citizens temporarily relocated from Artsakh to Armenia and the development and implementation of relevant programs in close cooperation with the appropriate structures of the Republic of Armenia. Citizens are seeking assistance on various issues, ranging from housing and food to warm clothing, as well as problems related to the establishment of new pensions and benefits,” he said.
According to Virabyan, they have a legal services office at 16/1 Vardanants Street in Yerevan, where the registration of civil acts and state registry divisions operate, providing clarifications to citizens.
He added that Artsakh citizens have received 93% of their pensions and benefits for October within the territory of Armenia, and payments for pensions and benefits for November have already begun. Payments for military pensions will start this coming Monday. “Citizens of Artsakh can also turn to any territorial division of social security operating within Armenia, where they currently reside,” he stated.
