Urgent: Humanitarian Ceasefire Regime to Take Effect on October 26 at 08:00
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, met on October 24 with Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Stephen Biegun and reaffirmed their countries' commitment to implementing and adhering to the ceasefire agreement reached in Moscow on October 10 and reaffirmed on October 17. This agreement is in line with the statement made on October 1 by U.S. President Donald Trump, French President Emmanuel Macron, and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The humanitarian ceasefire will take effect on October 26, 2020, at 08:00 local time.
The United States has facilitated intensive negotiations between the foreign ministers and the co-chairs of the Minsk Group to bring Armenia and Azerbaijan closer to a peaceful resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
