Su-30 Aircraft Crashes in Russia During Training Flight, Accidentally Hit by Another Plane
In the Tver region of Russia, a Su-30 fighter jet crashed on Tuesday, reportedly due to being accidentally shot down by another aircraft during training exercises. According to the TASS news agency, citing regional emergency services, the cause of the crash was the accidental targeting of the Su-30 with a projectile during drills. The strike was carried out by another plane.
It is noted that the aircraft fell during a training flight, as reported by the Western Military District of Russia yesterday. The crew managed to eject from the aircraft. According to sources, the condition of the pilots is satisfactory.
It is known that the aircraft fell into a forest. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported as a result of the incident.
