38 New Cases of Coronavirus Confirmed in Armenia, 7 Deaths Reported
As of August 17, 38 new cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed in Armenia, bringing the total number of infected individuals to 41,701. According to the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health of Armenia, 6 citizens died from the virus in just one day, raising the total death toll to 824.
In addition to this, one patient infected with coronavirus died from another disease on the same day. The total number of such deaths as of August 17 has reached 244. Overall, 7 people died in one day, with the total number of deaths now at 1,068.
In that same 24-hour period, 71 individuals recovered, increasing the total number of recoveries to 34,655, while the number of actively treated patients has decreased by 40 to 5,978. A total of 284 tests were conducted in one day, with the cumulative number of tests conducted reaching 185,594.
