Delegation of the Armenian Army General Staff Visits Artsakh
As part of the cooperation and coordination program between the military departments of the two Armenian republics, a delegation from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia visited the Republic of Artsakh on August 11, led by Chief of General Staff, Lieutenant General Onik Gasparyan.
Accompanied by Artsakh's Minister of Defense and Commander of the Defense Army, Major General Jalal Harutyunyan, the Chief of General Staff visited a number of military significance sites in the eastern direction. The high-ranking military officials observed extensive fortification works at the front line and learned about the ongoing measures aimed at improving the living conditions and service of personnel involved in combat duty.
In one of the engineering and sapper units of the Defense Army, the structural components of new type fortification facilities were presented. A wide range of issues significant for the defense capabilities of the two Armenian republics were discussed during the working visit.
