New Details on Murder Case of Father-in-Law by Former Employee of Yerevan's Sixth Main Department
YEREVAN – Tomorrow, a senior investigator for particularly important cases, Razmik Arsanyan, who has been appointed to lead the investigative group on the murder case from March 19, will submit a petition to the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction seeking a two-month detention order for 35-year-old Gor Ter-Esayan, a resident of Yekmalyan Street in Yerevan. This was reported by Shamshyan.com.
According to the source, Ter-Esayan is suspected of murdering his father-in-law, 47-year-old Arthur Margaryan, a resident of the Davitashen administrative district, using a firearm in his apartment on the mentioned date. The incident occurred around 3:15 PM, during which G. Ter-Esayan fired indiscriminately at the entrance of the house and at his father-in-law using an AK-type firearm, resulting in Margaryan's immediate death.
The criminal investigation division of the police's central department and officers from the 1st and 3rd battalions of the patrol service managed to neutralize the armed G. Ter-Esayan, as there were family members, including children, present in the apartment, and it was feared that he might continue firing indiscriminately.
After neutralizing him and transferring him to the police’s central department, the investigative team, which arrived at the scene, discovered the firearm used in the crime, an unregistered 9mm caliber pistol of unknown type, a 12-gauge double-barreled hunting rifle, and 23 fired cartridges of 5.45mm caliber, while traces of gunfire and blood-like substances were found on the door, floor, and walls.
