Fire Breaks Out in Government Building, Eight Employees Suffer Smoke Inhalation
According to reports, yesterday at 10:21 PM, the National Crisis Management Center received a call regarding a fire in one of the rooms on the 4th floor of the first building of the Government of Armenia.
Firefighting units were dispatched to the scene under complexity level 2, including six fire-fighting teams from the Yerevan Rescue Service, one aerial ladder, an operational group from the fire suppression and rescue operations organization department, an operational group from the national crisis management center, and the on-duty doctor from the medical support department.
The fire was contained at 10:31 PM and extinguished by 10:44 PM. The office, which was 20 square meters in size, suffered partial damage: furniture (desk, cabinet, computer, printer, phone), layered curtains, flooring, and one window were thermally affected. There were employees who suffered from smoke inhalation. The on-duty doctor from the medical support department provided appropriate medical assistance to eight employees, and there was no need for hospitalization.
