Hotel Guests Fight, One Stabs Security Staff
On March 15, 2020, at 05:35 AM, a medical center reported that a young individual had been admitted with a penetrating wound to the front surface of the right side of the chest, along with puncture and stab wounds to the right flank and right scapular areas. This was announced by the Information and Public Relations Department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia.
In connection with the incident, a criminal case was initiated under Part 1 of Article 112 of the RA Criminal Code (causing serious harm to health intentionally).
As a result of investigative and other procedural actions conducted by the Arabkir Investigation Division of the Yerevan Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee, it was determined that the hotel guests had argued over personal matters. During this altercation, a security staff member attempted to intervene and was subsequently stabbed by one of the guests.
The identity of the individual suspected of committing the crime has been established; he is one of the arguing youths. Charges have been filed against him under Part 1 of Article 112 (causing serious harm to health intentionally) and Part 4 of Article 258 (hooliganism) of the RA Criminal Code. He has been remanded in custody as a preventive measure. The preliminary investigation is ongoing.
