Collision between Volkswagen and Opel on Yerevan-Yeraskh road leaves Opel overturned in ravine

On March 9, a serious traffic accident occurred in the Ararat region. At approximately 1:30 PM, a Volkswagen Golf driven by 23-year-old Ilona T. from Yerevan collided with an Opel Vectra driven by 22-year-old Karlen H. from the Ararat region on the 25 km stretch of the Yerevan-Yeraskh highway.

According to preliminary reports, there were no injuries resulting from the accident. Officers from the second platoon of the first company of the road police quickly arrived at the scene, including Inspectors Hakob Hovhannisyan and Eduard Safaryan.

The source indicates that as a result of the collision, the Opel veered off the roadway and ended up overturned in a gorge, while the Volkswagen crashed into the road's protective barrier. Materials are being prepared regarding the incident. Both drivers underwent sobriety tests on-site, and it was confirmed that they were sober.
