Minor Arrested on Suspicion of Stabbing Fellow Villager

On February 22, 2020, at 16:50, the Razdan police department received a report from the "Razdan" Medical Center that a minor resident of Kotayk region had been admitted in a stab-wounded condition, diagnosed with two stab wounds in the left lower back.

Following the incident, the Kotayk Regional Investigation Division of the RA Investigative Committee launched a criminal case under Article 112 (Intentional Infliction of Severe Harm to Health) of the RA Criminal Code.

Thanks to urgent investigative actions and operational-intelligence measures carried out in connection with the criminal case, it was revealed that the minor sustained the injuries during a dispute among a group of young people over personal issues in Meghradzor village of Kotayk region on February 22, 2020. The identity of the person suspected of committing the crime, also a minor resident of Kotayk region, was established.

The suspect has been arrested on suspicion of stabbing a fellow villager. Necessary investigative and procedural actions are ongoing to clarify all circumstances of the case. The preliminary investigation is continuing.
