Snow Falling in Several Communities of Armenia

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of February 20 at 15:18, there are closed and difficult-to-pass roads in the territory of Armenia. The roads leading to the Amberd Fortress and Kary Lake in the Aragatsotn Province will remain closed for an indefinite period.

The Vardenyats Pass is closed to heavy vehicles, while passage for other types of transport is difficult. The Sotk-Karvachar road is passable in one direction.

Snow is falling in several regions, including the area known as 'Meghru Sar' in Syunik Province, on the Goris-Sisian road, in the city of Kajaran, in Kotayk Province, and in the Gegharkunik Province's Jambarak and Martuni, as well as in the city of Jermuk in Vayots Dzor Province, and in the Tigranashen curve in Aragatsotn and Ararat provinces. Additionally, fog has been reported in the 'Meghru Sar' area.
