SARM Suspends Dairy Production Facility Operations

Specialists from the Inspection Body for Food Safety of Armenia have conducted an inspection at the dairy production facility of “Agroprod” LLC, which operates under the brand name “Norma.” This company has been a supplier of dairy products to several kindergartens.

During the inspection, it was found that the production, auxiliary, and domestic sinks, as well as equipment, tools, and other items that directly come into contact with food, were not maintained in a clean and operational condition and had not undergone proper sanitation. The staff did not adhere to personal hygiene rules and did not wear appropriate clean clothing; furthermore, two of them did not have sanitation books and had not undergone initial and periodic medical examinations.

The identified sanitary and hygiene violations are incompatible with any food production activity, prompting the Inspection Body to suspend the operations of “Agroprod” LLC and set a deadline for correcting the deficiencies. An order was also issued for the temporary prohibition of work for the two employees who had not undergone medical examinations.
