Major Accident at Republic Square: 5 People Hospitalized
On February 20 at 00:08, the Crisis Management National Center of Armenia received information about smoke emanating from a vehicle at Republic Square. Two fire and rescue teams from the Yerevan City Rescue Department were dispatched to the scene.
It was determined that a collision occurred between a Toyota Camry (driven by Hakob H.) and a Mercedes-Benz C-Class. No signs of fire were found.
Before the rescuers arrived, five individuals—Arman H. (born in 1994), Bagrat M. (born in 1996), Ashot V. (born in 1994), Ashot B. (born in 1994), and Gevorg M. (born in 1995)—were hospitalized at the Heratsi Hospital Complex No. 1. Doctors assessed the condition of the injured as satisfactory.
Rescuers disabled the vehicles and closed the valves of the gas cylinders.
