China's Coronavirus Death Toll Reaches 1868

As of February 18, the number of individuals infected with pneumonia caused by the Covid-19 coronavirus in China has reached 72,436, with 1,868 deaths reported, according to the National Health Commission of the People's Republic of China.

In Hubei province, the epicenter of the outbreak, 93 deaths have occurred, while Henan province has reported three, and one person has died each in Hunan province and Beijing. Currently, 58,016 individuals are undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country, with over 11,700 cases classified as severe. At the same time, more than 1,700 people have recovered and been discharged from healthcare facilities.

The day before, China recorded 2,048 new infection cases and 105 deaths from Covid-19, as reported by Interfax.
