Inspections Conducted in Stores: Expired Food Discovered
Employees of the Trade and Services Department of the Yerevan Municipality are currently conducting inspections in shops across the capital. The municipality's press service reports that inspections took place yesterday at the 'Vas' supermarkets, operated by 'V.A.S. Group' LLC, located at 6 M. Khorenatsi Street and 1/51 Gyujyan Street.
Expired sausages, cold cuts, chocolate candies, tea, children’s cotton candy, as well as salads and various dishes lacking production date labeling, were found during these inspections. As a result, reports on relevant administrative offenses were compiled according to part 1 of Article 158 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Armenia.
The Yerevan Municipality informs that oversight in trade, public catering, and household service sectors will be of a continuous nature, and those who commit violations will be held accountable. We urge citizens to be more attentive while shopping on the eve of the New Year and call on entrepreneurs to act responsibly.
