I Welcome the U.S. Senate for Adopting Resolutions on Genocide Recognition: Mirzoyan
The National Assembly's session today began with a statement from the Speaker of the Assembly, Ararat Mirzoyan, in which he praised the resolutions adopted by both the U.S. Senate and, prior to that, the House of Representatives regarding the recognition of the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire.
“With this important vote, the United States joined the global movement aimed at preventing genocides,” said Mirzoyan. He also expressed gratitude to all members of both chambers of the U.S. Parliament who have engaged in pro-Armenian activities thus far, as well as to U.S. Armenian organizations that have contributed their efforts to this cause.
