ARJ 'My Step' faction leader Lilith Makunts wrote on her Facebook page: “A short while ago, the U.S. Senate unanimously passed a resolution recognizing the Armenian Genocide. To our delight, the restoration of historical truth and the deserving acknowledgment was clearly demonstrated today by all U.S. senators. The international recognition of the Armenian Genocide not only shows that the history of this human tragedy is not forgotten, but also that the fight for its prevention is ongoing today.

Thank you to all the individuals and organizations that contributed significantly to this relentless struggle for justice. Thank you to all the senators, especially Senator Menendez and Senator Cruz for their persistent efforts. Long live Armenian-American friendship!”
