Vanechyan, even without answering the question, is harming the country's security: Kocharyan

“When Arthur Vanechyan started giving very contradictory statements after his resignation, I merely reminded that leaders of such agencies usually leave unnoticed,” said Andranik Kocharyan, head of the parliamentary commission investigating the circumstances of the April War, during a conversation with journalists in the National Assembly.

“Such people are only involved with confidentiality during their tenure. No one has the right to create mysteries, because that is an office where even without answering, he harms the country's security when he says ‘I will not answer,’” stated Kocharyan, adding that the question is posed precisely to create doubts.

“It’s worth for Mr. Vanechyan to realize how important a position he held. I don’t remember anyone in our country who has held that position being so active in political life after leaving it. He should understand that even after resigning, he remains a protector of the security system. If he does not understand this, it can have serious consequences,” said Andranik Kocharyan.
