Today I Turned 35: Gagik Surenyan

The head of the meteorological service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Gagik Surenyan, wrote on his Facebook page:

“Today I turned 35 years old. The only thing I feel, I will express through the magnificent lines of the great Hamo Sahyan:

I am already very tired of the lavish halls,
Of unclear speeches and arguments:
I will go read the silence of my cliffs,
One last time I will try to recognize myself.
I will go listen to the conversations of my springs
Both intimate, simple, and classical.
I will take my heart empty, fill my mouth
With an innocent, birdlike love.
I will be intoxicated with the scent of clouds, grass, and earth,
And with the scent of a miracle at sunset;
I will sleep… I will open my eyes, sit and cry
On the darkness soaked in an existential crisis.”
