Supporters of Kocharian Assault Protester Following Court Hearing
Just minutes after the court session of Robert Kocharian, a clash occurred between his supporters and citizens opposing his free release. Supporters of Robert Kocharian assaulted a citizen, who was then carried on a stretcher to an ambulance and transported to the hospital.
According to an eyewitness, the reason for the assault was that the victim had shouted, "Kocharian is a criminal." "They broke his leg, and his entire face is battered," the witness stated. Another eyewitness added that they saw several people attack a citizen and hit him.
