VIDEO: School Principal Committed Violations and Embezzled Large Sums of Money

The Corruption and Economic Crime Prevention Department of the Police received operational information regarding violations. Based on this information, joint measures were undertaken by the department's officers and the Vagharshapat police department employees, revealing that the principal of the secondary school in Aigek village of Armavir Province had appointed two individuals as the school's night watchmen from January 2016 to February 2017 and from January 2009 to May 2019.

The watchmen did not actually report for work, yet their salaries were transferred monthly from the school’s budget to their bank accounts at a rate of 80,025 AMD each. As a result, it is currently known that a total of about 10,883,000 AMD has been misused from the school budget. A criminal case has been initiated, and an investigation is underway.
