Video: A Person Who Fired Shots Near Khor Virap Monastery Detained

On September 10, around 4 PM, shots were fired near the Khor Virap Monastery. The Armenian police reported that a young man fired into the air three times with a pistol. The patrol officers from the Ararat division of the police, who were on duty in the area, promptly stopped the young man's vehicle and relayed the information to the department.

An operational group that arrived at the scene detained a 28-year-old man from the village of Ayntap along with his car. The 'Nissan' was inspected in the presence of witnesses in the specially protected area.

During this time, the detained individual presented a factory-numbered 9mm gas pistol to the police, claiming it was his. The crime scene was also examined, where three 9mm cartridges were discovered. They were collected and packaged for further investigation.

Materials are being prepared by the Ararat police department regarding the incident. Circumstances are being clarified.
