Crocodile Farm Controversy: Possible Shift to Georgia Instead of Armenia

The crocodile farm that has stirred significant controversy in Armenia may not be established after all. It is possible that the project will be based not in the Ararat region, but in Georgia. According to the newspaper 'Hayastan', the 'Armon' company is preparing to invest in neighboring Georgia due to various challenges encountered.

Additionally, it is important to note that Armenian environmentalists, who concern themselves with wildlife issues, are strongly opposed to keeping wild animals in such conditions, and using them for meat or leather production. This issue further complicates matters for the investors.

It turns out that 'Armon' had reached the final stages of establishing the crocodile farm and was even preparing to participate in the land allocation bid but later withdrew. 'I will wait a bit more, and see what position the government takes on the Amulsar issue, then I will decide whether to proceed to Georgia or not,' said the company's director Khachik Sarkisyan.
