Vilen Sosyans, the 'Problem Solver' of Chambarak, Detained

On September 4, an article was published on the TERT.am news website titled 'A brawl occurred in Chambarak, gunshots were heard; calling the mayor's close 'thief of law' to account remains beyond the police's power'. According to the journalist, a brawl occurred in Chambarak and gunshots were heard. Despite receiving clear information from the police regarding this incident, the reality was distorted, evidencing a biased attitude, as reported by the Armenian Police.

Once again, we inform that the Chambarak division of the police received information about a dispute near the city's bus station, and not about gunshots. To verify the information regarding the dispute, officers from the Chambarak division of the police took necessary actions and detained two individuals suspected of engaging in the brawl, one of whom, as mentioned in the article, is 'Vilen Sosyans, the problem solver in Chambarak'. A citizen was also summoned for clarification. They provided their explanations.

We urge the media once again not to disseminate unverified information with the intent of defaming the police. The Armenian Police is aware of the operational situation and is not constrained by anyone's capabilities or social standing. The system performs its functional duties in accordance with the law and with courage.
