Number of Unemployed Reaches 63,085, Shirak Region Leads

In July 2019, the number of job seekers reached 82,820, showing no percentage change compared to the same period last year.

According to the data published today by the National Statistical Committee of Armenia, out of the job seekers, 54,901 are women and 27,919 are men.

Among the job seekers, there are 63,085 unemployed individuals. The number of unemployed women is 42,145, while there are 20,940 unemployed men.

In July 2019, the highest number of job seekers comes from the Shirak region, with 15,665 individuals, of which 11,854 are unemployed. Following Shirak in terms of the number of unemployed is the Lori region with 9,229 people, and then Yerevan with 8,530 unemployed.

The demand for labor has increased by 1.5 times, benefiting 3,806 individuals.
