Several Streets to be Closed Due to Gyumri Day Events

Gyumri will celebrate "Gyumri Day" on August 25. According to "Armenpress," a variety of outdoor events titled "City of Masters" will take place starting from 11:00 AM in various parts of the city, including festive concerts, exhibitions, puppet shows, and more.

One of the key events will be the reopening of the renovated Shiraz Street. On the newly opened Shiraz Street, local craftsmen will showcase their skills and art. The city’s museums will also present special exhibits for the day, and a festive concert featuring local and invited singers will be held from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Among the performers will be renowned singers Nune Yesayan and Iveta Mukuchyan.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will also be present at the "City Day" event. Guests will include representatives not only from various communities across the country but also from different countries. The day will conclude with a festive concert and fireworks in the central square.

Due to the events, several central streets in Gyumri will be closed starting early in the morning on August 25. City transport will operate until late at night, and to facilitate the arrival of guests from the capital, there will be special changes in the schedule of the Yerevan-Gyumri-Yerevan express trains on August 25. Two trains will be available at 9:00 AM and 9:40 AM, with return trips to Yerevan at 11:15 PM and 11:45 PM.
