Video: Government to Transition to Electric Official Vehicles, €700,000 Allocated
The government will replace official cars with electric vehicles thanks to environmental grant funding, according to a statement on the government's Facebook page.
The Global Environment Facility is providing €700,000 for this purpose.
“Under this specific program, we plan to have 12 vehicles, depending on the number of ministers,” said Minister of Environment Erik Grigoryan, adding that there could also be another program through which electric cars will be provided for the Prime Minister and the President.
“In another program, there may be additions that will involve the Prime Minister, the Deputy Prime Minister, and, for example, the President, who has also shown interest. Luxury cars will not be provided, however. There will be budget-friendly, comfortable vehicles for mobility,” said Minister Grigoryan.
