Response of the Defense Army to Azerbaijan

On February 21 of this year, the statement released by the press service of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense claiming that an Armenian drone was shot down in the Aghdam region does not correspond to reality.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Artsakh.

“The Defense Army has not lost any unmanned aerial vehicles. Regarding the photographs published in Azerbaijani media, they are evidently old footage,” the statement reads.

It is also noteworthy that the disinformation disseminated by Baku, for unknown reasons, “coincidentally” coincided with the visit of the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group to the region.

Lastly, a reminder: the Armed Forces of Artsakh, as always, have all the capabilities to safely and effectively use every type of unmanned aerial vehicles at their disposal. We assure that, as we have used them until today, we will continue to employ them purposefully if necessary,” the press release from the Defense Army stated.
