Nare, Narek... Statistics on Baby Names Given in 2018

The Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia has published the most frequently given names to newborns in 2018.

According to the publication, the most popular name for girls was Nare, given to 657 infants, followed by Maria with 598, Mane with 495, Mari with 486, Arpi with 421, Elen with 402, Anahit with 393, Mariam with 391, Milena with 385, and Eva with 383.

For boys, the most common name was Davit, given to 1,403 infants, followed by Narek with 1,077, Haik with 529, Mark with 525, Tigran with 519, Aleks with 472, Aren with 426, Artur with 413, Gor with 408, and Samvel with 353.
