VIDEO: Pashinyan Begins Another Series of Arrests, Says Sharmazanov
Yesterday, it became clear that Armenia is losing the position of Secretary General in the CSTO, effectively squandering a significant strategic achievement inherited from the previous government, which was the result of serious diplomatic efforts. This was stated by candidate for the National Assembly from the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Eduard Sharmazanov during a live broadcast on Facebook.
“Pashinyan clearly understands that he has failed in all areas during this time, except for one: he is a champion in laying asphalt. And since he cannot solve the social issues of the people—the bread problem—he has resorted to staging scenes and shows,” Sharmazanov said.
Pashinyan openly displays an unhealthy reaction to differing opinions. We have reached a point where expressing an opinion is considered betrayal. And to cover up his disgrace in the CSTO, the acting Prime Minister has started another series of arrests from today.
“Violating the presumption of innocence, he has turned to populism pleasing to the eyes and ears of the people, employing the State Security Service (SSS) as a tool with methods reminiscent of Beria and Vyshinsky,” said Sharmazanov.
“But we will not retreat, we will never be afraid. All criminals must be punished, of course, if there is indeed a crime. But trying to intimidate political opponents through total repressions will not succeed. They are expecting a surprise on December 9,” he added.
“Because there are many dignified and concerned citizens in our country who can distinguish the show from reality,” Sharmazanov concluded.
