Iran will not surrender to US pressure. This was stated by the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, during a meeting with Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff Asim Munir.

Ghalibaf emphasized that the commitments of both parties are clear within the framework of the Islamabad Understanding Memorandum, noting that the United States' failure to fulfill its obligations has hindered regional stability and further undermined trust towards Washington.

He also dismissed the notion that external pressure could affect Iran, asserting that Tehran remains committed to fulfilling the terms of the memorandum. Ghalibaf stated that the United States must fulfill its obligations outlined in the agreement.

In turn, Asim Munir announced that he will continue efforts to restore stability in the region.

The Islamabad Understanding (or Memorandum of Understanding) was signed in June 2026 between the US and Iran, aimed at reducing tensions and facilitating a ceasefire or resolution of conflicts between the countries.
