Authorities Uncover Telegram Channels Dealing in Drug Trafficking
The Criminal Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has revealed that a group of individuals was operating Telegram channels to facilitate drug trafficking. This information was reported by the MIA.
As a result of extensive operational and investigative measures, one member of the group was identified, arrested, and taken to the police station. A criminal case has been initiated in the Arabkir Investigative Department.
During the search conducted under the operational-investigative measures and subsequent investigative actions, 2 kilograms and 610 grams of methamphetamine were discovered at the residence of one of the Telegram channel owners.
Searches were also carried out at the residences of several individuals connected to the owners of the Telegram channels. During these searches, methamphetamine, 8,188,000 AMD, 4,500 USD, cannabis plants, and other items were seized.
As a result of further measures, seven individuals have been arrested. The investigation continues.
