October 25 Local Elections to Be Held in 21 Communities

Local elections will take place on October 25, 2026, under a proportional representation system in the communities of Artashat in Ararat Province, Armavir and Araks in Armavir Province, Gavar, Martuni, Vardenis in Gegharkunik Province, Hajrapet and Tsaghkadzor in Kotayk Province, Artik and Akhuryan in Shirak Province, Goris and Megrit in Syunik Province, Yeghegnadzor, Vayk, and Jermuk in Vayots Dzor Province, and Ijevan and Dilijan in Tavush Province. Meanwhile, majoritarian elections will be held in the communities of Fiolotov in Lori Province and Shamiramat in Aragatsotn Province.

For the proportional elections, political parties and party alliances can submit the necessary documents for registration of electoral lists to the respective territorial electoral commission by September 20, at 18:00. The registration of electoral lists will take place from September 20 to September 25 until 18:00. In the case of majoritarian elections, candidates can submit the necessary documents for registration to the respective territorial electoral commission from September 20 to September 25 until 18:00. The registration of majoritarian candidates will occur from September 25 to September 30, 2026, until 18:00.
