Charles Aznavour's 'Les plus belles chansons' Collection Receives Gold Status in France

The world-renowned French-Armenian chansonnier Charles Aznavour's collection 'Les plus belles chansons' ('The Most Beautiful Songs') has officially received Gold status in France. The National Syndicate of Phonographic Publishing (SNEP) awarded this certification after the album exceeded the sales threshold of 50,000 equivalent units. This figure includes both physical sales and downloads, as well as streams on online platforms.

Released by the Barclay label, the collection became available on September 26, 2025. The digital version features 43 works with a total duration of around 2 hours and 27 minutes.

The collection includes some of Aznavour's most famous compositions such as 'La Bohème', 'Emmenez-moi', 'Hier encore', 'La Mamma', 'She', 'Il faut savoir', and 'For Me… Formidable'. Additionally, the release showcases previously unpublished recordings from Aznavour's personal archive, including 'La Mamma' recorded with Ray Charles in the mid-1970s and the duet 'Quand on s’aime' with Dalida.

The album's Gold status further highlights the enduring interest in Charles Aznavour's musical legacy in France.
