Armenian Wrestler Joins Coaching Staff of Russia's Greco-Roman Wrestling Team
World and European champion Stepan Maryanyan has joined the coaching staff of Russia's national Greco-Roman wrestling team. The former wrestler announced this on social media.
Maryanyan became world champion in 2018 in Budapest in the 63 kg weight category. He is also a European champion, a medalist at world and European championships, and a double winner of the European Games.
In the inaugural European Games held in Baku in 2015, Maryanyan won a gold medal in the 59 kg weight category.
Stepan Maryanyan retired from professional sports in 2022.
