Expect Rain, Thunderstorms, and Strong Winds; Hail Possible
In Yerevan, on the evenings of August 15, 16, and the night of 17, brief rain and thunderstorms are expected in certain parts of the city, with wind gusts reaching 18-23 m/s during the storms. This information has been provided by the Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center.
On the night of August 16 and during the day of August 17, dry weather is expected, with no precipitation. From August 15-20, evening hours will see an intensification of winds, reaching speeds of 15-18 m/s.
Throughout the republic, from the afternoon of August 15 and during the night and afternoons of August 16-20, brief rain and thunderstorms are anticipated in various regions, with heavy precipitation possible in some areas from August 15-17, where hail may also occur. Winds are expected from the northeast and east, blowing at 4-7 m/s, while during thunderstorms, gusts may reach up to 20-25 m/s.
From August 15-20, wind intensification is expected in the evening hours in the Armavir region, the foothills of Aragatsotn and Kotayk, and in certain areas of Shirak province, reaching speeds of 17-20 m/s. The temperature is not expected to change significantly.
