Erling Haaland, the striker for Manchester City and the Norwegian national team, has received four certifications from the Guinness World Records for his achievements during his club and international career.

The 26-year-old footballer was presented with the certificates at the Etihad Stadium, ahead of the new season's kick-off.

Haaland's first record pertains to the number of goals scored in a single UEFA Champions League match. In March 2023, during a 7-0 victory over RB Leipzig, he scored five goals. This record is shared with Lionel Messi and Luiz Adriano.

The second certification recognizes the Norwegian as the all-time top scorer in the Nations League, having scored 19 goals, surpassing Cristiano Ronaldo and Aleksandar Mitrović by four goals.

Haaland also holds the record for the most goals scored in a single Premier League season, with 36 goals in the 2022/23 season, breaking the previous record of 34 set by Andy Cole and Alan Shearer.

The fourth record is for being the fastest player to reach 100 goals in the Premier League. Haaland scored his 100th goal in his 111th match, exceeding Alan Shearer's record by 13 games.

The Norwegian forward's achievements are featured on the cover of the Guinness World Records Football Edition 2027. In his 198 matches with Manchester City, he has scored 162 goals, and he is also the all-time leading scorer for his national team with 62 goals in 55 matches.
