August 2026 Could Become the Hottest August Ever: Azizyan
Director of the Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center, Levon Azizyan, has stated: "August 2026 could become the hottest August in the history of meteorological observations. According to the reanalysis data from the Japanese JRA-3Q, the average global air temperature for the first 11 days of the month reached +17.03 °C. This is the highest value ever recorded for this time period and surpasses the corresponding level of August 2024, which is considered the hottest August in observation history."
