15 Drones Approaching Moscow Destroyed, Woman and Child Injured in Attack
During the night of August 15, the Moscow region came under drone attack, resulting in two injuries. This was reported by the governor of the Moscow region, Andrei Vorobyov.
In Shaturovo, a drone struck a private house. A 9-year-old child and a 55-year-old woman were injured. According to Vorobyov, the child's condition is serious. Doctors are providing necessary medical assistance, and the child is expected to be transferred to the Roshal Children's Clinical Center.
The woman suffered a head injury, and her condition is assessed as moderate. The drone strike also damaged the roof of the private house.
The governor announced that operations to repel drone attacks in the Moscow region are ongoing. Drones have also been spotted in the skies over the Mozhaysk and Naro-Fominsk districts.
During the night, eight drones were destroyed in the Moscow region. They were shot down in the areas of Shaturovo, Domodedovo, Odintsovo, Ramenskoye, Chekhov, and Voskresensk.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, a total of 598 drones were shot down across various regions of the country during the night. Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin reported the destruction of 15 drones approaching the capital.
Reports of attacks have also come from the Yaroslavl and Penza regions, as well as Sevastopol. In the Penza region, a drone strike ignited a fire in the area of an agricultural enterprise, but there were no casualties.
