Ukraine Has Exhausted Its Resources for Innovation on the Battlefield: Zaluzhnyi
The former commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and Ukraine's ambassador to the United Kingdom, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, has stated that Ukraine has exhausted its options for innovation on the battlefield, according to his assessment. His remarks were made during a general conference of ambassadors held in Kyiv and were published by the Apostrof newspaper.
Zaluzhnyi noted that by 2026, Ukraine has employed nearly all available weapons systems and relevant tactics, except for certain systems present in NATO's arsenal, such as Tomahawk cruise missiles, F-35 fighters, aircraft carriers, and nuclear weapons. He pointed out that Russia has managed to find countermeasures against most of the technologies and tactics used.
Earlier, Zaluzhnyi also expressed his belief that Ukraine will not become a member of NATO. It is worth noting that the Russian government has repeatedly stated that Ukraine's potential membership in NATO poses a threat to Russia's security and has characterized this as one of the reasons for initiating military operations in Ukraine. However, this position is not shared by Ukraine, NATO, and a significant portion of the international community.
