The Criminal Procedure initiated by the Anti-Corruption Committee has established that during the period from 2010 to 2018, a person who held the position of head of the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning of the Yerevan Municipality abused their official powers, causing significant damage to the legal interests of the state. This information was provided by the Anti-Corruption Committee.

Specifically, the investigation revealed that the mentioned official illegally completed the process of changing the functional designation of a 2500 square meter land parcel located at one of the addresses in Yerevan and submitted falsified data to the mayor with the aim of unlawfully transferring it to the son of the deputy mayor. Furthermore, in order to register the ownership rights of the wife of the head of security of the third president of Armenia regarding a portion of land occupied by one of the restaurant complexes, a false conclusion was prepared regarding a construction built by the company on the territory of the Student Park. In violation of the norms established by the Land Code of Armenia, the land was illegally transferred to the aforementioned company for more than 24 million dram, causing significant harm to the rights and legal interests of the community.

During the investigation, charges were brought against the former official of the Yerevan Municipality. The preliminary investigation in the criminal case has been completed.
