Court Extends Alik Alekanyan's Detention for Another Two Months
Member of the "Strong Armenia" party, Alik Alekanyan's detention has been extended for another two months by court decision. This was announced by his lawyer.
It is recalled that according to the Investigative Committee, Alekanyan is suspected of having employed around 1,400 citizens formally at the offices of the "Mer Zheghov" NGO under service contracts to attract participants to protests and gatherings of the "Strong Armenia" party and the "Mer Zheghov" movement from September 2025 to May 2026.
According to the Investigative Committee's data, more than 400 of them were simultaneously employed at other companies.
The decision to extend Alik Alekanyan's detention for two months will be appealed, his lawyer stated.
