VIDEO: I Want to Propose That We Break This Curse Together – Ruben Rubinyan to the Opposition

The candidate for the Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly of the 9th convocation, Ruben Rubinyan, stated that a national consensus has formed, recognizing that the National Assembly has become a place for meaningless, fruitless disputes, foul language, and insults. According to him, this current assembly will be worse than the previous one in this regard.

“I want to propose that we break this predestination or curse together. Naturally, I am not so naïve as to think that we can all agree right now to ‘let's be polite, let's not insult each other’ and so on. That would be an illusion, akin to a toast of ‘peace on earth.’ I propose that we understand the reasons why such a culture has developed in recent years. I have my perspective and my proposed solution, without claiming it to be the ultimate truth, and I invite you to a discussion if you deem it appropriate,” said Rubinyan.

In his opinion, since 2018, the parliament has become a place of intolerance because the opposition has not accepted the people's choice.
