Bribery Scandal in Lori: Party Members Arrested
The Anti-Corruption Committee has informed "Lurer" that four individuals have been arrested as part of a criminal case initiated for giving and receiving bribes, violating the ban on charity, and obstructing the free exercise of a person's electoral rights.
Recall that yesterday, the Anti-Corruption Committee of Armenia released a statement informing that cases of giving and receiving bribes, violating charity restrictions, and obstructing the free exercise of electoral rights had been uncovered. It was revealed that, organized by a candidate from the "Strong Armenia" party, several individuals provided rental payments for the residences of several voters in the Lori province of the Republic of Armenia in violation of statutory prohibitions.
To avoid detection and reduce traceability of their actions, group members utilized intermediaries and their owned vehicles, mainly disbursing payments in cash. They involved employees of their associated companies and individuals from their circles in the process of receiving and distributing funds, while planning to use Russian bank cards to complicate the tracking of financial transactions.
