Investigation Authority Issues Statement on Attempted Murder of Prime Minister
According to a report received by the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia from the National Police, unidentified individuals, without lawful authorization, attempted to access data stored on a computer network intended for general use. This act was driven by motives of hatred and intolerance, during which they disseminated a threatening video containing a real danger of murder against the Prime Minister, linked to his state and political activities and based on his political views, accompanied by hooliganistic provocations during a live broadcast.
The Investigative Committee reports that a criminal case has been initiated on the preparation for murder, computer sabotage, and illegal trafficking of firearms and ammunition. An investigation is underway to identify the individuals who committed these crimes.
