There is chaos at the southern airports in Russia where operations have come to a halt. At least 14,000 passengers are waiting to depart, according to the Russian Ministry of Transport.

The most difficult situation is in Sochi, where new restrictions coincided with large-scale flight schedule disruptions over the past two days. Additionally, hundreds of international flights from Sochi, Mineralnye Vody, Krasnodar, Makhachkala, and Vladikavkaz have already been canceled or delayed due to the suspension of operations at the southern airports.
