VIDEO. Manukyan: They Are Trying to Gain Some Points with Macron

“The government is trying very hard to gain points, saying, ‘Look, it’s unprecedented; Macron is coming to Armenia.’ This is not the first time the French president has come to Armenia; Jacques Chirac visited back in the day,” said opposition MP Gegham Manukyan during a rally organized by the 'Armenia' alliance.

“By the way, an interesting observation. One of our compatriots approached me and said, ‘Mr. Manukyan, I remember well when Jacques Chirac landed at Zvartnots Airport; he turned and looked at Ararat.’ Back then, Armenia had dignity... today, they are simply trying to gain some points with Macron or ensure a large audience for some concert in Gyumri,” added Manukyan.
