Belgium's Prime Minister Arrives in Yerevan
Belgium's Prime Minister Bart De Wever has arrived in Yerevan. According to a correspondent from Armenpress, he was welcomed at Yerevan's Zvartnots Airport by the President of the National Assembly of Armenia, Alen Simonyan.
Prime Minister De Wever is in Yerevan to participate in the eighth summit of the European Political Community. The summit will take place on May 4 in Yerevan, under the theme 'Building the Future: Unity and Stability in Europe.'
The first summit of the European Political Community was held for the first time in the capital of the Czech Republic, Prague, on October 6, 2022. Since then, the summit has been successively hosted in Chișinău, Moldova; Granada, Spain; Oxfordshire, United Kingdom; Budapest, Hungary; Tirana, Albania; and Copenhagen, Denmark.
The European Political Community unites leaders from nearly 50 European countries on an equal basis, in a spirit of unity and common purpose. It provides a political platform to promote political dialogue and cooperation on issues of common interest, aiming to strengthen the security, stability, and prosperity of the European continent. The summit of the European Political Community offers European leaders a platform for exchanging experiences and expanding cooperation. It does not replace any existing organization, structure, or process.
