Ara Nazaryan Charged
In the framework of an investigation carried out by the Anti-Corruption Committee, charges have been brought against former Deputy Minister of Defense and Emergency Situations Ara Nazaryan.
According to reports from the newspaper 'Haykakan Zhamanak', Nazaryan, who served as Deputy Minister of Defense from 2007 to 2017 and as Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations from 2017 to 2020, is involved in a criminal proceeding. The case relates to the process of allocating housing by the Ministry of Defense, where the former official is implicated alongside a group of other military personnel.
The media has been unable to reach Nazaryan or his legal representative for details. It is also noted that in recent years, the former deputy minister has not been active in public affairs, and there is no information regarding his current occupation.
